He was born on February 19, 1950 in Springfield to Marcus Andrew Sharp and Theresa Joan Heineman Sharp.
Michael married Mary Ann Fisher and she preceded him in death in 2000.
Mr. Sharp is survived by his children: Martin, Marcus, Patti, Donna, Lonnie and Sandy as well as several grandchildren including: Donna, Mary, Jeremy, Brachan, Mackenzie, Ashley, Larry, Marcus and Amanda, several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Michael was a US Navy Veteran. He was a painter and he worked for the Springfield Park District. Michael enjoyed fishing and his beloved dogs.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday October 27, 2026 at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
