Mike Cassiday

Mike was born May 31, 1959 in Springfield, the son of James B. and Sharon Marie Cain Cassiday III. He married Judy Gibson on June 23, 1984; they later divorced and went their separate ways.

Mike graduated from Southeast High School in 1977 and worked for the family delivery service Lee’s Parcel Delivery. The family sold the business in 1992. Mike and his brother then sold the building to Jim Stelte of J.S. Central Equipment. Mike then went into the fireplace business where he stayed for the next 15 years, making many long- lasting friends and memories.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jim Cassiday; and step-father, Joe Trello.

He is survived by his two daughters, Lacy Johnson and Angela Marie Cassiday (husband, Russell Anno) of Gower, MO; one grandson who was the light of Mike’s life, Jaxon Pat Anno; mother, Sharon Trello of Springfield; three brothers, James B. “Buck” (wife, Linda) Cassiday of Rochester, Kelly (wife, Ellen) Cassiday and Matt (wife, Susan) Cassiday both of Springfield; five step-sisters, Kim Pate (companion, Matt Geitl) of Springfield, Cindy (husband, Larry) Phillips of Springfield, Brenda Koke of Springfield, Barb (husband, Joe) Rebbe of New Berlin, and Sandy (husband, Larry) Good of Riverton; stepbrother, Andy (wife, Jennifer) Trello of Springfield; Stepmother, Beverly Cassiday of Springfield; aunt, Pam Waughop of Springfield; and many nieces and nephews.

Cremation will be accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies.

Due to Mike’s request there will not be a funeral ceremony, but there will be an informal celebration of life at a later date.
