

Mildred E. Murphy, 86, of Farmersville, died at 9:07 p.m. on Monday, February 26, 2007 at Meadow Manor Nursing Home in Taylorville. Mildred was born on March 18, 1920 in Harvel, the daughter of John and Josephine Millburg Weitekamp. She graduated from Morrisonville High School. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and Altar and Rosary Society in Farmersville. She was also a member of Morrisonville Forresters and Farmersville-Waggoner Senior Citizens. She was employed at Dickey-John in Auburn for fifteen years and also had been employed at Arts Restaurant in Farmersville. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and homemaker. She enjoyed flower gardening, quilting, walking, cooking and traveling. Mildred was preceded in death by five brothers. She is survived by three sons: William Dean (wife, Marilyn) Murphy of Harvel, Edward (wife, Diane) Murphy of Farmersville and Don (wife, Diane) Murphy of Harvel; one daughter, Karen (husband, Wayne) Manson of Taylorville; ten grandchildren: Dana Murphy, Lisa Murphy, Kristina Murphy, Courtney (wife, Molly) Murphy, Carla (husband, Scott) Mudd, Kendra Murphy, Kevin Murphy, Lauren Murphy, Jon Manson and Katie Manson; two great grandchildren: Isabella Murphy and Drake Mudd; one sister, Evelyn (husband, Paul) Klimm of Taylorville, one sister-in-law, Mary Eileen Weitekamp of Morrisonville and several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family welcomes friends to visit from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 2, 2007 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 310 Nobbie St. Farmersville. A prayer service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2007 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Rev. Charles Dahlby celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Maurice Catholic Cemetery, Morrisonville.
