

He was born in Burtonview, IL (in Logan County) June 4, 1933 the son of Frederick and Wilhelmina Engelhorn Wiggers. Graduated from Beason High School in 1951. He married Patricia E. French Sept. 8, 1957 and she preceded him in death, Aug. 29, 2010. He was also preceded in death by his twin sister, Thelma J. Matson, and two other sisters; Eileen Wiggers and Mildred Johnson, and three brothers; Fred, Marvin, and Kendall Wiggers.
Milton worked for Chicago Motor Club, Statewide Teacher’s Finance, and then retired Feb. 1, 1993 as the Assistant Vice President of Mortgage and Real Estate Investments at the Horace Mann Insurance Company.
He was a member of the Springfield Luncheon Optimist Club since 1976 where he held many offices including club president, their state governor for a year and Optimist International deligate. He was also a member of Northside United Methodist Church and a member of their Men’s Group.
Surviving are his daughter; Deborah (Rick) Bilyeu of Springfield, two sons; Mark (Patty) Wiggers of Springfield, and Doug (Carol) Wiggers of Mahomet, IL, five grandchildren; Maria Bilyeu, Thomas Bilyeu III, Elizabeth Ann Wiggers, Matthew Bilyeu, and Timothy Wiggers, two great grandchildren; Tyree and Karlynn, his sister, Katharina Goldhammer of Lincoln and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation: Bisch Funeral Home West 2931 S. Koke Mill Rd. Springfield, IL 4-7 pm Monday, Oct 27, 2014. Additional Visitation will be held Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2014 from 9:30-10:30 am at Northside United Methodist Church 2400 North Grand Ave. E. Springfield, IL.
Funeral Service: Northside United Methodist Church, Tuesday Oct. 28, 2014 at 10:30 am. Rev. Mark Milhouse officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday at the Hartsburg Union Cemetery, Hartsburg, IL.
