Mindi Kay Smith

Mindi was born on July 12, 1973, in Springfield, the daughter of George A. and Diane Goleash Smith.

Mindi graduated from Divernon High School in 1991 and was employed most recently at DXC Technology in Jacksonville. She was previously employed at CCB in Springfield. Mindi enjoyed decorating and making crafts for the holidays, collecting Japanese artifacts, and spending time with her family, especially her nephews, Jimell and Bryce.

She was preceded in death by her father, George Smith; maternal grandparents, George and Amelia Goleash; paternal grandmother, Frances Smith; aunt, Darlene Woods; and uncles, George Goleash and George Woods.

She is survived by her mother, Diane (husband, Mark) Mueller of Virden; sister, Gayle (husband, Quincy) Bronson; nephews, Jimell and Bryce Bronson; aunt, Bonnie Gorsek; several cousins; and her beloved dog, Sammie.

Visitation and Funeral Ceremony: Family will receive friends from 10:00 11:15 a.m. on Friday, March 22, 2019, at Boardman-Smith Funeral Home, 800 South Grand Ave. West, Springfield. A funeral ceremony will follow at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Adam Connolly officiating.

Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
