

Monika Fox, 60, of Sherman, died at 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at St. John’s Hospital. Monika was born on January 8, 1946 in Germany, the daughter of Chuck and Berta Ertl Redpath. She married Eddie “Butch” Fox, Jr. on September 7, 1968 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church. Monika was employed for ten years at F.W. Means and then as the Manager of the Dairy Queen in LeRoy, IL. She then was employed at St. John’s Hospital as a seamstress for twenty-eight years. She was a very caring and giving lady who always put her family before herself. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed cooking and sewing. She was preceded in death by her parents. Surviving are her husband, Eddie “Butch” Fox, Jr. of Sherman; two daughters: Lisa (husband, the late David Truax) of Sherman and Tina (husband, Jim) Wendling of Williamsville; seven grandchildren: Kristy, Ryan, Shelby, Erin, Jake, Austin and Paige. The family welcomes friends to visit from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 19, 2006 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield. Funeral Ceremonies will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 20, 2006 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home with Scott Brindley officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Clear Lake Township, Sangamon County, Illinois. Memorial Contributions may be made to American Cancer Society 1305 Wabash, Suite J, Springfield, IL 62704.
