Nadine was a 1944 graduate of Springfield High School. She was a bookkeeper for a CPA for 18 months before deciding to be a homemaker and raise her family. In 1965, Nadine went to work for Federated Funeral Directors as an accountant until 1969 and then the State of IL from 1969-1989. She was a member of the Springfield Garden Club and volunteered for S.H.I.P. Nadine enjoyed dancing with her husband and listening to Big Band music.
She was preceded in death by Richard, her husband of 62 years; her sister, Betty Lovell; and her grandson, Tyler.
She is survived by five children, Nancy (Dominic) Palazzolo, Patty (Bill) Stack, Janet (Jim) Taapken, Denny (Barb) Cleary and Tim (Tammy) Cleary; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside Ceremony: 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Clinton, IL with Celebrant Judy Woerner officiating.
