Nancy Elizabeth Blandin

Nancy is survived by two sisters, Sara (husband, Bruce) Ratterree of Springfield, IL, and Jeanne (husband, Don) Wells of Tucson, AZ; nieces and nephews: Julie (husband, Tom) Krehbiel of Springfield; Amy Ratterree of Springfield; Steve Ratterree of Burleson, TX, Karen (husband, Martin) Goulding of Calabasas, CA, and David (wife, Kristin) Wells of Waterville, VT; and eight great nieces and nephews. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Fremont and Elizabeth Blandin of Springfield, IL.

Nancy graduated from Springfield High School and DePauw University, Greencastle, IN. She worked for many years as a medical technologist both at Memorial Medical Center and at St. John’s Hospital, retiring in 1999.

Nancy loved being with family and friends. She was an accomplished pianist and violinist as a teenager. Later Nancy enjoyed duplicate bridge, genealogy, computers, and music.

Visitation will be at Boardman-Smith Funeral Chapel on Saturday, September 1, 2007 from 9 until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Rev. Robert McDonald will be officiating. Burial at Oak Ridge Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Douglas Ave. United Methodist Church, or a charity of your choice.
