Nancy was born on July 31, 1948, in Litchfield, IL, the daughter of Adolph and Viola Henrietta Cordum Sattovia. She married Robert Jensen on October 2, 1971, in Gillespie, IL.
Nancy graduated from Gillespie High School and attended Eastern Illinois University. She then went on to earn her bachelor’s degree from Sangamon State University. Nancy was employed with Springfield Memorial Hospital in the blood bank transfusion services for over forty years. She enjoyed gardening, reading, painting, mosaics, cooking, and baking.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Robert Jensen of Athens; son, Brian (Andrea) Jensen of Athens; siblings, Kent “Randy” (Shirley) Sattovia of Litchfield, Carl (Joyce) Sattovia of St. Charles, MO, and Joyce (Mark) Tomaw of Springfield; one brother-in-law Norman Jensen; and several nieces and nephews.
Cremation will be provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.
Memorial Gathering: Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 19, 2024, at Butler Funeral Home-Springfield, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield, IL.
Inurnment will be held at a later date at Gillespie City Cemetery.
