

Nancy E. King, 89, of Springfield, died at 9:20 a.m., on Monday, December 5, 2005 at her residence. Nancy was born on August 24, 1916 in Springfield, the daughter of Robert Milton and Eva Whited Ewing. She married Thomas J. King in 1951; he preceded her in death on December 3, 1994. Mrs. King worked for Dr. Nelson Chestnut as an assistant for 10 years before becoming a homemaker. She was a member of United Baptist Church in New Berlin, Daughters of the Nile and Rural Neighbors Club. She was also preceded in death by her parents, grandson: Michael King and three sisters: Mary Elizabeth Ewing, Ellen Reichman and Isabelle Horton. She is survived by two sons: Thomas R. (wife, Francie) of Springfield and Dale E. King of Kincaid; one grandson: Eric King and two granddaughters: Ella and Anne King. Family will receive friends from 4-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 7, 2005 at McCullough-Delaney Funeral Home, 714 E. Gibson, New Berlin. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 8, 2005 at McCullough-Delaney Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Holland officiating. Burial will follow at Wood Wreath Cemetery in Island Grove Township. Memorial Contributions may be made to United Baptist Church, 600 W. Birch St., New Berlin, IL 62670. The family of Nancy E.
