

Nancy Lee Moore, 79, of Springfield, passed away at 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center. Nancy was born October 14, 1936 in Springfield, the daughter of George and Gladys Brewis. She married Marshall "Bud" Moore on October 23, 1954; he preceded her in death in 2002. Nancy attended Ridgewood Elementary School and was a graduate of Lanphier High School. She was a proud stay at home mom. She was a member of a bowling league for 20 years and enjoyed painting, crocheting, sewing, cooking for parties, and making her famous carrot cake. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Wanda Ghilardi and Barbara Gaheen. She is survived by three sons, Dennis (Deborah) Moore of Buffalo, Kevin Moore of Springfield, and James Moore of Springfield; two daughters, Brenda (Jeffrey) Jones of Springfield, and Diana (Milton) Johnson of Buffalo; nine grandchildren, Mike Moore, Shelly Farley, James Moore III, Crystal Moore, Jason Jones, Jenna Jones, Jon Jones, Melody Johnson, and Beverly Johnson; nine great-grandchildren, Emma, Tiffany, Austin, Jerin, Jovi, Jensen, Jayshaun, Jackson, and Jakolby; one sister, Donna (Johnny) Burtle of Quincy; and several nieces and nephews. Cremation will be accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies. Memorial Gathering and Ceremony: Family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial ceremony at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th Street, Springfield with Celebrant Judy Woerner officiating.
