Nancy R. Rush

Nancy was born on July 15, 1955 in Springfield, the daughter of Frank and Dorothy Stewart Embree. She married Michael Rush on December 4, 1986 in Springfield.

Nancy was a graduate of Springfield High School. She was employed with Central IL Management Services for 32 years, retiring in 2008. Nancy enjoyed playing bingo and shopping on Sunday mornings. She especially loved spending time with her two granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Frank “Butch” Embree; and one sister, Cindy Schnirring.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Rush of Springfield; one daughter, Tiffanee Renee Rush of Springfield; two grandchildren, Jayden Alexis Rush and Logan Alyce Rush; three siblings, Connie (husband, William) Hughes of PA, Joseph (wife, Barb) Embree of Springfield and Vickee (companion, Jeff) Huff of Springfield; sister-in-law, Joyce Embree; brother-in-law, Rick Schnirring; and several nieces and nephews.

Cremation will be provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.

Private family ceremonies will be held.

The family is being served by Butler Funeral Home-Springfield, 900 S. Sixth St., Springfield.
