Nellie "Betsy" Britz

Nellie L. "Betsy" Britz, our loving Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister and Friend, went home to the Lord on June 24, 2013. She was born the daughter of Louis and Nina Hinds on June 18, 1932. She married James Britz, Sr. on October 23, 1954 in Hernando, MS; and he preceded her in death on June 22, 2007. She was also preceded in death by one son, Terry Wessing, Sr. and his wife, Bev; grandson, Ronnie Snow, Jr.; sister and brother-in-law, Clara and Keith Bollinger. She is survived by her sons, James (Connie) Britz, Jr. of Dawson, Gary (Julie) Britz of Riverton; daughters, Rose Mary Snow of Georgia, Peggy Brown, Sharon (Craig) Richardson, Gladys (Ken) Kutzora, all of Springfield; brother, Louis (Jake) (Betty) Hinds; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Funeral Ceremony: 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 28, 2013 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, with Rev. Denny Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow at Salisbury Cemetery. She was a loving mother to her children who adore her. She will always be in our hearts and we will forever miss her. She was truly an angel on earth and now one in heaven.
