Larry and Janet invited us often to their home and some of my personal, fondest memories were playing with Nick and our other hockey brothers in the creek when it froze over. Just behind the houses. Nick was our goalie! Our guy in the net! Skating on that creek, back then, was a magical time for us! We stayed out there all day! We would sit on the walls of the frozen dirt and laugh and laugh!
Nick introduced me to the video game Sim City! I was hooked from that moment on!...lol It did not surprise me when he started working working FEMA. He would always love to mitigate the disasters on that game! I remember his face lighting up as a monster tore into the city. He would fix things as aggressively as He could. It was quite funny for me to watch him go at it on the game. I remember thinking this game is AWESOME! It was a neat game, but Nick made it AWESOME! I have missed Nick and often wondered how he was doing! Larry, Janet and Lisa, my heart is broken to hear about Nick. Please accept my sincerest condolences. Nick will be missed by us all! With love and cherished memories of you all.

Sobbing as I type this... Nick was an amazing and kind person I feel very fortunate to have known. He made my time with FEMA fun and I hope I did for him as well. He was super intelligent and believed in the good in people and animals. I will miss him dearly.
