Norma Belle Cole

Norma Belle Cole, 66, of Springfield, died at 10:41 a.m., Sunday, February 18, 2001. She was born March 6, 1934 the daughter of Irwin Glen and Nellie Elizabeth Gratton Powell in Athens, IL. She married Joseph O. Cole December 23, 1951. He preceded her in death September 1991. Norma Cole was a soldering technician for Simplex Inc. She enjoyed nature, reading and her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a son: Larry D. Cole. She is survived four sons: Richard J. (wife, Linda) Cole of Chesapeake, VA, Robert A. (wife, Thanit) Cole of Chesapeake, VA, Patrick M. Cole of Petersburg, James D. Cole of Springfield; three daughters: Linda L. Childers of Elkton, VA, Pamela S. (husband, Kenneth) Heid of Petersburg, Elizabeth A. Deiss of Springfield, one brother: Richard (wife, Francis) Powell of Pahrump, NV; two sisters: Marjorie Horn of Springfield, Nancy Harding of Tulsa, OK, thirteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Friends may call at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home from 4-7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 23, 2001. Memorial services will be at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home at 7:15 p.m. with the Rev. Scott Brindley officiating. Remains were cremated.
