Norma Louise Lynn

Norma Louise Lynn, 74, of Springfield, formerly of Tallula, died on Friday, August 21, 2009. Norma was born June 7, 1935, the daughter of Joseph and Mary Marguerite Grogan Wade, they preceded her in death, along with her sisters, Lola Mardelle Koehne, and Thelma Jacobi. She graduated from Tallula High School 1953. She was married to the late Gerald "Coon" Lynn on October 16, 1954. They had 2 children and were later divorced. Norma was employed at Franklin Life Insurance Company. She was then President/Manager of Sangamo Chapter Credit Union. She was also employed by Lanphier and Webster Insurance Company. She retired from the Sangamon County Treasurer's Office. Norma is survived by her companion Don Sims; her daughter Lola (Mosie) Blakeman of Rochester; son Barry (Jan) Lynn of Sherman; grandchildren Carrie (Matt) Lombardi of Arlington Heights, and Cassie Blakeman of Dekalb; great-grandchildren Olivia and Joseph Lombardi. Family will receive relatives and friends from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 24, 2009 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Ashland Cemetery in Ashland, IL.
