Norman T. "Norm" Dennison

Norm was born on February 8, 1963, in Springfield, the son of Norman "Zeke" and Eileen F. "Guzzy” (Fitzgerald) Dennison.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Matthew Dennison; and daughter, Norma Jean Dennison.

Norm loved sports and was a very good football player who earned a scholarship to play football at Illinois State University. After college, Norm worked for several years for the Packey-Webb car dealership in the greater Chicagoland area.

Norm is survived by his brother, Mark (wife, Negretta) Dennison of Sumter, SC; three sisters, Michelle (husband, Buddy) Lane of Bement, IL, Betsy (husband, Chris) Kohlrus of Springfield, and Katherine (husband, Raj) Mohanty of Springfield; sister in-law, Angela (Weir) Dennison of Springfield; granddaughter Elliana Wolter of Chicago; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be a private ceremony at Calvary Cemetery for the family and internment will be in the Immaculate Columbarium.

The family is hosting a celebration of life for family and friends from noon until 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 30, 2023, at Knights of Columbus Hall Council 4175, 2801 West St., Springfield.

Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.
