

Orville E. Reynolds, Jr., 72, of Springfield, was called home by his Lord and Savior at 7:31am on Monday August 5, 2013 at Memorial Medical Center. He was born on April 15, 1941 in Springfield to Orville and Myrtle Sullivan Reynolds. He married Judith Ann Meyerhoff on June 23, 1963 in Springfield and she survives.
Mr. Reynolds is also survived by his two daughters: Robyn (Craig) Stephens of Springfield, and Rochelle (Kelly) Lively of Champaign. He was very proud of his seven grandchildren: C.J. (wife, Ami), Angel (husband, Cody), Karianna (husband, Josh), Ashton, Wyatt, Drew, and Whitney (fiancé, Devin). He absolutely adored his two-year-old great granddaughters, Isabella and Chloe. Orville is also survived by his aunt, Wilhemina Langston, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by both of his parents, two sisters: Adelyn Yee and Elizabeth Thomas and one brother, Bernard Reynolds.
Orville was a graduate of Feitshans High School. He retired from Illinois Meter Co. in 2008 and was a long-time member of West Side Christian Church. In his prime, Orville enjoyed bowling, fishing and playing softball and basketball. More recently he enjoyed fishing, watching college sports, spending time with his family, and celebrating fifty years of marriage to his beloved wife, Judy.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Thursday August 8, 2013 at Bisch Funeral home West, 2931 Koke Mill Road with Rev. Vaughn Beeman officiating and burial will follow at Old Salem Cemetery. The family will meet friends from 4-7pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
