Pat Griffith

Patricia A. Bryant Griffith, 67, of Springfield passed away at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, October 16, 2011 at St Vincent Memorial Hospital. Patricia was born October 13, 1944 in Springfield, the daughter of Thomas and Florence Viola Coady. She married Russell Bryant and he preceded her in death. She later married Floyd Griffith in 1994 in Springfield. Patricia worked as a beautician for several area nursing homes and also worked in the Sacred Heart Griffin cafeteria until her retirement in the early 2000's. She enjoyed cooking, gambling, and watching "I Love Lucy". She was also preceded in death by her parents; and daughter, Lisa Bryant. She is survived by her husband, Floyd Griffith of Springfield; three sons, Rodney and Christal Wilson Hartline of Mechanicsburg and Michael "Pete" Bryant and Russell Bryant, both of Springfield; three step-sons, Thomas Griffith of Havana, IL, Mark Griffith of Flora, IL and Eddie Griffith of Bath, IL; three grandchildren, Lindsay Bryant, R.J. Hartline and Matthew Register; brother Thomas (wife, Lori) Coady of Taylorville; uncle, Bert Viola; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and caregiver, Vickie Cundiff of Riverton. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral ceremony at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield.
