

Patricia E. Clink, 56, of New Berlin, died at 5:50 p.m. on Monday, January 16, 2006 at St. John’s Hospice. Patricia was born on January 5, 1950 in Schweinfurt, Germany, the daughter of John T. Jr. and Steffi Horoschiefska Fagan. She married Edward Clink in April 1974 in Springfield. She was a graduate of Springfield High School and also graduated in 1976 from Lincoln Land Community College with a nursing degree. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church and loved the Lord. She always helped people in need and volunteered with sandbagging during many floods in the area. She enjoyed reading, quilting, watching movies and was a book collector. Patricia was employed as a cardiac registered nurse in the cardiac pulmonary unit at St. John’s Hospital for twenty-seven years. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother; John T. Fagan III. She is survived by her husband, Edward Clink of Springfield, one son: Matthew Clink of New Berlin, two sisters: Nanette (husband, Michael) Valenti of New Berlin, Brenda (husband, Vernon) Wrest of Springfield and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Cremation accorded by Cremation Tribute Center, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield. Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 23, 2006 at Christ The King Catholic Church, 1930 Barberry Dr., Springfield with Rev. Msgr. David S. Lantz celebrant. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society for Breast Cancer Research, 1305 Wabash, Suite J, Springfield, IL 62704. The family of Patricia E. Clink is being served by Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home and Cremation Tribute Center, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield.
