Patricia A. Janssen

Patricia A. “Pat” Janssen, 86, died at 12:58 p.m. on Saturday, May 12, 2007 at Lewis Memorial Christian Village. Pat was born on July 15, 1920 in Springfield, the daughter of Peter and Margaret Corrigan Solomon. She married William Janssen; he preceded her in death on June 23, 2005. She graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in Springfield. She was employed as the Employee Credit Union Administrator for Pillsbury, until her retirement. She was an active member of the Phi Beta Psi- Kappa Sorority Chapter. She was also preceded in death by two brothers: Peter Solomon and John Solomon. She is survived by two sons: William R. (wife, Carolyne) of Denver, CO and Pete (wife, Lori) Janssen of Springfield; four grandchildren: Hazel, Grace, Amy and Alex Janssen and one sister: Jean (husband, Jim) Reiser of Ft. Myers, Florida. Family will welcome friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Funeral Ceremonies will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, with Rev. Msgr. Thomas P. Holinga, V.F.
