Patricia J. "Pat" Kreppert

Patricia J. "Pat" Kreppert, 76, of Springfield, died at 1:20 a.m. on Friday, October 27, 2017 at her home. Pat was born November 3, 1940 in Springfield, the daughter of David and Ella Randarchick Grey. She married Gary Kreppert on June 6, 1964. Pat graduated from Ursuline Academy. She obtained a masters degree from Sangamon State University. She was also a 1961 graduate of St. Johns School of Nursing. She was a registered nurse and taught nursing at St. Johns College of Nursing. Pat was a member of St. Agnes Church, Springfield Art Association, Prairie Art Alliance, and Prairie Pastel Society of Illinois. She enjoyed painting with acrylics, oils and pastels in creating floral still-life compositions. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Gary of Springfield; daughter, Michelle (David) Bretscher of Springfield; son, Michael Kreppert of Springfield; grandchildren, Haile (Chas) Fox, Christopher Bretscher, Katy Bretscher, Megan Kreppert, Ellie Bretscher, and Emily Kreppert; brother, David (Mimi) Grey of Sebring, FL; one great-grandchild, Rex Fox; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 30, 2017 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th Street, Springfield. Visitation will begin with a prayer service. Funeral Mass: 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 245 N. Amos Ave., Springfield, with Rev. Robert J. Jallas, celebrant.
