Patrick Egan, of Springfield, died at 9:45 p.m. on Monday, October 27, 2014 at Memorial Medical Center. Pat was born March 27, 1949 in Springfield, the son of Patrick Joseph and Margaret E. Coldewey Egan. Pat worked for over 40 years with Goodwill Industries and was a bagger for County Market. He enjoyed traveling, Cardinals baseball, and attending the Muni. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by three siblings, Thomas Egan and Margaret Egan, both of Springfield, and Sarah (Jack) Hulsen of Chatham; one nephew, John (Molly) Hulsen; one niece, Jennifer (Eric) Surges; and two great-nieces, Ellie and Emily Surges. Cremation was accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies. Memorial Gathering: Family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. The memorial gathering will begin with a prayer service at 5:00 p.m.
