Patsy Stephens

Patsy Stephens, 65, of Springfield, died at 1:11 a.m. Tuesday, June 17, 2003 at her home. Patsy was born May 17, 1938 in Blue Mound, IL the daughter of Paul “Shorty” and Lillian Pace Himes. She married Phillip L. Stephens, December 2001. Mrs. Stephens was employed by C.A. Dawson and later for the Illinois Press Association and she currently worked for Denmar Builders, Inc. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary, Aerie #437. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Gary Himes. She is survived by her husband Phillip L. of Springfield; one daughter: Alisa (husband, Greg) Norman of Springfield; one son: Aaron (wife, Peggy) Purcell of Illiopolis; one granddaughter Avari Alexis Purcell of Springfield; one sister: Beverly (husband, Lester) Korthals of Decatur; one brother: Lloyd (wife, Denise) Himes of Indiana and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home from 5-8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 19, 2003. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 20, 2003 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home with Scott Brindley officiating. Burial will follow in Steenbergen Cemetery near Mt. Pulaski.
