

Patti was born on February 27, 1952, in Springfield, the daughter of Harry and Mary K. (McCue) Patton.
Patti was a 1970 graduate of Sacred Heart Academy. She earned her bachelor's degree in education from Illinois State University. Patti worked as a teacher for Little Flower and Cathedral grade schools. She also worked for the State of IL, Office of the Inspector General. Patti enjoyed her children, caring for her grandkids, sewing, camping with the Sisters On The Fly, cooking, and being by the ocean.
She was preceded in death by her parents, several aunts, and uncles, and by her dog, Tallulah.
She is survived by her children, Kali Patton of St. Louis, MO, Amanda (David Toledo) Zueck of Havana, Ashley (Luke) Welchel of Lincoln, and Jared (Ayla) Zueck of Chatham; seven grandchildren, Jeret and Julien Zueck, Carmen Toledo, Daniel, Jude, Abishai, and Hope Welchel; four siblings, Kay (Don) Schlosser of Springfield, Janet (Dick) Stivers of Bloomington, Ginny (John) Spernoga of St. Louis, MO, and Larry (Debbie) Patton of Springfield; her aunt Fran McCue of Springfield; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Cremation will be provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.
Memorial Gathering: Family will receive friends from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 13, 2022, at Butler Funeral Home-Springfield, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Visitation will begin with a prayer service.
Funeral Mass: 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 524 E. Lawrence Ave., Springfield with Rev. Dominic Vahling, celebrant. For those who wish to stream the Mass, a recording will be available after 4:00 p.m. by visiting here.
Inurnment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
