Rich was born in Springfield October 8, 1946 the son of Paul and Eloise Neuman Mendenhall. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He was Vietnam veteran having served in the United States Army. He worked at JW’s Lounge and was an avid St. Louis Cardinal’s fan.
He is survived by his sister Sharon Stevens (husband, Larry) of Edwardsville; a niece Debra Lercher (husband, Dan) of Rossford, OH; a nephew, Gregory Bourland (wife, Connie) of Springfield; great nieces and nephews, Jameson Lechner, Payton Lechner, Zachary Bourland and Christa Bourland and several cousins.
Friends may call Thursday Mar. 31, 2011 at Boardman-Smith Funeral Chapel from 11:00 AM until the time of services at 1:00 PM with Rev. Vaughn Beeman officiating. Interment will be in Camp Butler National Cemetery where the Interveterans Burial Detail of Sangamon County will conduct military honors. www.boardman-smith.net.
