

Paul Thomas Moore, Jr., 65, of Springfield, passed away at 4:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at his residence. Paul was born on August 7, 1951 in Boston, Massachusetts, the son of Paul Thomas, Sr. and Evelyn Moore. He married Colleen A. Leonard in 2002 in Destin, FL. Paul was a graduate of Walpole High School and earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Ohio and a master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Illinois at Springfield. Paul was employed with Ameren as a contract supervisor and after retirement was manager of the Chatham Library Bookstore. He was a kind and patient man, who enjoyed painting Bossons characters, golfing, reading, and karaoke singing. He was an avid fan of the Patriots, Red Sox, and Celtics. Paul also enjoyed coaching Chatham Little League and Boys and Girls Club Basketball for many years. He is survived by his loving wife, Colleen A. Moore of Springfield; one son, Clinton (wife, Corey) Moore of Chatham; one daughter, Colleen Forouzi of Mokena, IL; two beloved grandchildren, Sophia and Elijah Forouzi of Mokena, IL; his parents, Paul T. and Evelyn Moore of Walpole, Massachusetts; one sister, Linda (husband, Tony) Panarelli of Massachusetts; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and his two faithful companions, Minnie and Maddie. Cremation will be accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies. The family will be hosting a Celebration of Life on Saturday, October 29, 2016 from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Piper Glen Golf Clubhouse.
