

Paul Raymond Ott, 68, of Springfield, died at 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at Memorial Medical Center. Paul was born May 24, 1943 in Lockport, NY, the son of Raymond and Myra Fisher Ott. He married Linda S. Gow on March 27, 1965 in Spokane, WA. Paul served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War and received his Associate in Arts degree from Spokane Falls Community College. He worked for the IL Department of Human Services until he retired. Paul enjoyed golfing and being with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Linda Suzanne Ott of Springfield; son, Brian (wife, Stephanie) Ott of Chatham; daughter, Debbie Baker of Springfield; four grandchildren, Brandon, Haley, Bradley and Jackie Ott; sister, Patricia (husband, Bill) Few of Lockport, NY; and brother-in-law, Bill Gow of Spokane, WA. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 21, 2011 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Funeral Ceremony: 10:30 a.m. on Monday, August 22, 2011 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home with Celebrant Judy Woerner officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery with military honors provided by the Interveterans Burial Detail of Sangamon County.
