Pauline V. Glass Jardine, 91, of Springfield, died at 7:13 p.m. on Friday, September 28, 2012 at Oak Terrace Health Care Center. Pauline was born on August 19, 1921 in Golconda, IL the daughter of Guy and Millie Jones Glass. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; and nine sisters. Pauline was an excellent seamstress. She was the alterations lady at JC Penny from 1970 until her retirement in 2002. Pauline is survived by her three daughters, Judith (husband, David) Liehr of Springfield, Marilyn (husband Tom, deceased) Hobson of Ozark, MO, and Sarah (husband, Bob) Short of Jacksonville; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A lifelong member of the Church of Christ, Pauline will be greatly missed by family and friends who loved her so much. Cremation was accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center. Private family graveside ceremony will be held at Hemphill Cemetery near Golconda, IL at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to: Pauline V.
