

He was born on March 20, 2012, in Springfield, IL, the son of Priscilla Leone.
Quaneal was just days away from graduating from 8th grade at Jefferson Middle School in Springfield, Illinois. He was a bright young man with a vibrant spirit and a love for life.
His favorite color was teal, and some of his favorite foods included nachos, Philly cheesesteaks with loaded fries, and Swiss Rolls. Quaneal enjoyed spending his time playing basketball, riding his bike, playing video games, and listening to music.
Music was one of Quaneal’s passions. Some of his favorite artists included Kevin Gates, especially the song “No Options,” as well as Polo G and 4 Crew Corey.
Quaneal will be remembered for the joy he brought to those around him, his love of family and friends, and the many memories he created through the activities and interests he enjoyed most.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Joseph Edmondson; and aunt, Mary Leone
Quaneal is survived by his mother, Priscilla Leone; sisters, Mikyra (David Smith) and Mackenzley Leone; brothers, Micayle and Kayden Leone, and Corey Gelsinger; grandmother, Susan Leone; uncles, Quaneal Echols, Joseph (Jennifer), Joshua (Brittney), Jeremy (Patti), and Marcus Leone; aunts, Brandi Cain, Kaylee Bayles, Sabrina Gelsinger, and Marissa Hackwith; great-aunt, Mary (John) Leone; nephew, David Smith, Jr.; several cousins; and a host of friends.
Visitation & Funeral Services: The family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Bisch Funeral Home, 505 E. Allen St., Springfield, IL 62703. The funeral ceremony will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 12, 2026, at Bisch Funeral Home, Springfield, IL.
Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Springfield.
