Rachel Faith Williamson, 17 months, passed away on May 25, 2025 at St. Louis Children’s Hospital from a lung disease associated with Trisomy 18. She was born on December 20, 2023 in St. Louis to Derek Williamson and Claire Dalal Williamson.
She is survived by her parents of Springfield, paternal grandparents Thomas and Peggy Williamson, maternal grandparents Robert Dalal and Penny Nollette, two aunts: Dawn Williamson and Grace (John) Newland and several cousins.
Rachel was a fixture of St. Louis Children’s Hospital, she made such an impact that people not connected to her knew of her. She gave many NICU fashion shows, she won one of the NICU’s cutest baby pageants and she liked to host “parties” with the nurses. Rachel perfected giving the side eye resulting in earning the title “Little Miss Sassy Pants.” She was a renowned footprint artist, a good conversationalist, a good listener and an avid St. Louis Blues fan who liked to watch Beauty and the Beast and Hotel Transylvania.
The Williamson family would like to thank the NICU and PICU Nurses for their expert care and compassion.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, June 5, 2025 at Southern View Chapel, 4500 South Second Street in Springfield. The family will greet friends from 11:00am until the time of service Thursday at church. Please wear the color blue to support Trisomy 18 and dress casual.
