Ralph Tom Pierce

He was born April 19, 1925 the son of Ralph and Frieda (Bradley) Pierce. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Delores Hinton Pierce on Sept. 1, 1998; and his parents.

Tom was a Resident at Bickford house in Springfield. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church for over 50 years, a 52 year member of the BPOE Elks Lodge #158, past president and member of the Sertoma, member of Telephone Pioneer Club, and the 38 Club. His hobbies included golfing and farming.

He is survived by a son, Robert (Patricia) Pierce of Springfield; a daughter, Linda (Henry) Russell of Florence, SC; a grandson, Todd (Amy) Pierce of Medina, OH; two great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Ryan Pierce; and his wife, Shirley Pierce of Rockledge, FL.

Visitation will be held Wed. April 7, 2010 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at Boardman-Smith Funeral Chapel. Services will be private. Interment will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
