

Ray was born on August 29, 1973, in LaFayette, IN, the son of Robert “Elmer” Luther Anderson.
Ray attended MTI to become a welder. He worked for ADM and then worked for Austen as a foreman, under a contract for ADM. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Auburn. Ray enjoyed Notre Dame sports, riding his Harley, working out, jujitsu, and drinking Guinness and Jameson.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Stella Elise Anderson; father, Robert Luther Anderson; grandparents, Ray and Gladys Banner; and cousin, Todd Banner.
He is survived by his partner, Amy Gresham of Sherman; daughters, Hannah Hammitt of Athens, Harper Arabella Anderson; son, Dutch Luther Anderson; ex-wife, Jill Anderson of Springfield; several aunts, including Angela Banner of Flagler Beach, FL, several uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; and beloved dogs, Rocco, Felix, and Cooper.
Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies.
Memorial Gathering: Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at Butler Funeral Home-Springfield, 900 S. Sixth St., Springfield. The gathering will begin with Masonic Rites.
A private family graveside ceremony will be held at a later date.
