

Ray W. Logue, 67, of Springfield, died at 3:53 p.m. on Thursday, June 28, 2007 at Memorial Medical Center. Ray was born January 31, 1940 in Virginia, IL, the son of John and Sophia Miller Logue. He married Judy Knoles on April 11, 1964 in Petersburg. Ray was a graduate of Virginia High School and also of barber college. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from 1957 – 1960 and stationed in Germany. Ray was employed as a lifelong chef and a barber. Ray was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 15 and Eagles Club #437. He enjoyed swimming, traveling and watching old westerns. Ray loved his dogs and spending time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother: James Logue and sister: Wanda Logue. He is survived by his wife of forty-three years: Judy Logue of Springfield; one daughter: Missy (husband, Bobby) Adams of Springfield; two grandsons: Brandon and Jarred Adams; three brothers: Lonnie Lee, Harry and Fred Logue; two sisters: Doris Brown and Martha Lou Wesselman; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Cremation is accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Graveside ceremonies will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 9, 2007 at Camp Butler National Cemetery with Pastor Shawn Craigmiles officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the Interveterans Burial Detail of Sangamon County and the Department of Defense. Memorial contributions may be made to: Danville Veterans Hospital, 1900 E.
