Raymond F. Myers, Sr., 86, of Springfield, passed away on September 11, 2023 at Taylorville Skilled Nursing and Rehab. He was born on January 14, 1937 in Troy, New York to Harvey Myers and Emma Chase Myers. Raymond married Frances Justrmski on October 18, 1958 and she preceded him in death on July 2, 2021.
Mr. Myers is also survived by his children: Mary (Glen) Coonradt of Troy, New York, Raymond (Lorie) Myers, Jr. and Joseph Myers of Springfield, three grandchildren: Adam, Ashley and Amy Coonradt and four great-grandchildren: Caroline, Scott, David and Riley Coonradt.
Raymond worked for Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York and also for the Kennedy Space Center. He enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family and his beloved havanese bobo. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
