Richard Poulson, 65, a lifelong resident of Springfield, died at 9:20 p.m. Monday, June 9, 2003 at St. John’s Hospice. Richard was born May 24, 1938 in Springfield, the son of Henry and Beulah Niccum Poulson. He married Vicki Nardi October 3, 1964 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Springfield. Mr. Poulson was employed by Ameritech for 35 years retiring in 1993. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church and had previously served in the Air National Guard. He was greatly loved and will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife: Vicki of Springfield; one son: Richard H. (wife, Sara) Poulson of Alameda, CA; one daughter: Wendi L. Poulson of San Francisco, CA; two nephews: Jamie and Kris Green; one niece: Kelli Green and several cousins. Remains were cremated. No services are planned at this time. The family of Richard Poulson is being served by Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home and Cremation Tribute Center, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield.
