

Bob was born on August 13, 1946 in Washington, DC, the son of Robert H. and Jane Evans Brumett.
Bob was a Specialist 5th Class in the United States Army. He earned a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Ohio State University and was an instructor at Ohio State University and an Assistant Professor at the University of Alabama. He then served as a Child Welfare Specialist at DFS. Bob was an avid golfer and enjoyed reading, writing, and his cat “Puppy.” He was also a Cardinals and Bears fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his sister, Susan (husband, Wes) Coulter of St. Charles, IL; one niece, Mackenzie (husband, Adam) Ellis; one nephew, Mitchell (wife, Beth) Coulter; great-niece and great-nephews, Abbott and Violet Ellis and Burton, Beckett, and Bogart Coulter.
Cremation will be provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies.
Graveside Ceremony: 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 8, 2019 at Camp Butler National Cemetery with military honors provided by the Interveterans Burial Detail of Sangamon County and the Department of Defense.
