Robert V. Castle

Robert V. Castle, 75, of Springfield, IL, died at 1:05 p.m., Wednesday, June 22, 2005 at St. John’s Hospital. Robert was born June 15, 1930 in Chicago the son of Robert Nicholas and Margaret Helen Ryan Castle. He married Elizabeth Ann Gruber in 1973 in Springfield. Mr. Castle retired as a Real Estate Broker. He was a member of Illini Country Club and First United Methodist Church. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He is survived by his wife: Elizabeth of Springfield; son: Creighton (wife, Bridget) Castle of Springfield; grandson: John Robert Castle of Springfield; sister: Arlene Joan (husband, Peter) Riker-Pagratis of Chicago; loving uncle of niece: Jennifer Riker of Chicago and nephews: Chris Riker of Decorah, IA and Michael Bose of Chicago. Family will receive friends from 9-11:00 a.m., Friday, June 24, 2005 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield. Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Dr. Roger Rominger officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
