Robert R. Cutler

Robert R. Cutler, Jr., 76, of Springfield, passed away at 11:58 p.m. on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center. Robert was born May 8, 1940 in Rockford, the son of Robert R. and Helen Rogowski Cutler. Robert married his best friend, Carol Toland on August 23, 1974 in Rochester. Robert graduated from Rochester High School in 1958. Robert proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1958 until 1962. He retired from Illinois Bell Telephone after 30 years of employment as a telephone repairman. He volunteered for the Red Cross, and drove for Meals on Wheels for 11 years. He loved antiques, flea markets, and especially his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Barbara Felty. He is survived by two sons, Richard Cutler of Chatham and Christopher (Judy) Cutler of Santee, CA; one daughter, Judy (Terry Connor) Sisson of Springfield; three grandchildren, Britney, Nicholas, and Jeremy; one sister, Priscilla Cutler of Rochester; one brother-in-law, John Felty of Tonica; and several nieces and nephews. Private family burial will be held at Camp Butler National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. The family of Robert R.
