He was born on May 14, 1932 in Springfield, the son of the late Robert H. and Florence (Isom) Easley, Sr.
He married Mary Ann Hyndman and she preceded him in death in December of 1998. He later married Betty Rowe on Aug. 2, 2003 in Springfield, and she survives.
Mr. Easley worked for the State of Illinois in the Secretary of State’s office, retiring in 2000. He had previously worked at Friendly Chevrolet for 24 years. He was a member of the Elks Lodge #158 BPOE for over 40 years and was also a member and past-president of the Lake Press Club.
Besides his wife Betty, he is survived by a daughter Sue (Easley) Zellers of Springfield; 4 grandchildren, Greg (wife Sara) Zellers, Nick Zellers, Eric (wife Jaira) Easley, and Courtney Easley, and 6 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a stepson Ronald (wife Ruth) Casper and a stepdaughter Constance Casper, both of Springfield, and a brother Richard (wife Vickie) Easley of Springfield.
Besides his parents and his first wife Mary Ann, Mr. Easley was preceded in death by a son Robert H. Easley III, and 2 stepchildren Lawrence and James Casper.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 E. Allen, Springfield. No services are scheduled at this time.
