Robert L. Neale, 91, of Springfield, passed away on August 31, 2026 at Springfield Memorial Hospital. He was born on August 22, 1935 in Detroit, Michigan to Wickliff B. Neale and Helen Rohrer Neale. Robert married Marilyn Stevenson on March 28, 1958 and she preceded him in death on April 4, 2025.
Mr. Neale is survived by two sons: Matthew Lee Neale of Fenton, MO., and Timothy Daniel Neale of Arlington, TX., and one granddaughter Alicia Ann Neale of St. Louis, MO. He was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
Robert was a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corp. After his Military discharge He graduated from Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. Robert was a minister for over forty years serving the communities of: Ravenna, OH., Bonita Springs, FL., Charleston, WV., and Grafton, Springfield and Heyworth, Illinois.
A funeral service will be held at 12:30pm on Friday September 4, 2026 at Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 East Allen Street, with burial to follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 12:00pm until the time of service Friday at Bisch and Son.
