Pastor Robert "Bob" Needham

Rev. Robert O. Needham (Pastor Bob) 77, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Thursday, January 8, 2015 at St. John's Hospital surrounded by his Family. He was born January 30, 1937, in Springfield, IL, the son of Oscar Needham and Barbara (Baggerly) Needham. Bob married Nancy Hamilton on April 18, 1957.

He was a member and served on staff with both First Assembly of God and I Worship Center. Prior to the ministry, he worked for S. J. Groves & Sons and Capitol Machinery, Inc. He was always happiest when serving the Lord and his people which he did up to his end along with spending time with his family and friends. Because of his hard work and dedication he was nominated for the Springfield Citizens Award.

He is preceded in death by his Parents, Son Doug, Parent In Laws, Son In Law Rodney, and Great Grandson Zakaree.

He is survived by the love of his life Wife Nancy, Daughter Joyce, Sons Steven(Christina), Marty and David, sisters, Cindy Owen and Barbara June Baggerly, 14 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren, as well as several Nieces and Nephews.

Arrangements are under the direction of Bisch & Son Funeral Home, 505 E Allen St. Springfield, IL 62703. The family will receive guests on Monday, January 12, 2015, from 4-7 pm at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 13, 2015, at 10 am.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Wounded Warrior Project.
