Ron Chaney, 56, of Springfield, died at 10:55 a.m. on Friday, December 1, 2017 in Springfield. Ron was born on January 3, 1961 in Kansas City, MO, the son of Delis Eugene and Beverly Fern Delos Chaney. He married Betty Bunch in June 2016. Ron worked for A&M Towing and Auto Salvage. He loved listening to country music, working on cars, going to cookouts, and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents; and mother-in-law, Ethel Southern. He is survived by his wife, Betty Chaney of Springfield; son, Donald Chaney of North Carolina; granddaughter, Olivia Chaney; siblings, Ricky, James, Terry, and Cathy Chaney; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 15, 2017 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th Street, Springfield. Funeral Ceremony: 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mechanicsburg Cemetery.
