Ronald L. Oller, Sr., 82, of Springfield, died at 4:52 a.m. on Friday, December 29, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center. Ronald was born September 9, 1935 in Girard, the son of Leland and Bessie Treat Oller. He married Rose Schuh on June 8, 1957 in Springfield. Ronald graduated from Athens High School in 1954 and was a truck driver for 58 years. He appreciated automobiles and loved driving. Ronald enjoyed spending time with his family and loved dogs. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Darrell Oller; and sister, Shirley Puckett. He is survived by his wife, Rose Oller of Springfield; children, Christina Oller and Ronald (wife, Victoria) Oller, Jr., both of Springfield; grandchildren, Anthony and Douglas Cortelyou, both of Springfield, Robert Oller of Chatham, Russell Oller of White Hall, Ryan Oller of Springfield, and Amanda Vaughn of Curran; several great-grandchildren; brother, Robert I. Oller of Springfield; sister, Linda Garst of Springfield; and half-brother, Lindell Oller of Carlinville. Cremation was accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies. Memorial Ceremony: 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield with Rev. Robert Jallas officiating.
