

Rudolph David Parisotto, 78, of Springfield, was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 15, 2010 at St. John's Hospice. He was born April 13, 1931 in Springfield, the son of Giovanni John and Leonilda Forner Parisotto. He married Laura M. Liggett on February 18, 1950 at St. Al's Rectory in Springfield. Rudy attended Cathedral Boys High School. He retired from Sangamo Electric after thirty years and continued with the Village of Grandview as Maintenance Supervisor. He was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church. He was happy in the Lord. Rudy was a very giving family man. He loved his children and grandchildren and would come running if they needed anything. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, working in his garden, maintaining the yard and watching old John Wayne movies. He was an inspiration to many children whom he coached in baseball, basketball, boxing and football and especially enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren play sports. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Joseph and Americo; and two sisters, Lena and Gloria. He is survived by his wife Laura of Springfield; his children, David (Diane) Parisotto, Becky (Pat) Williams and Doug Parisotto (companion Jennifer Ealey) all of Springfield; two sisters, Teresa Pemberton of Springfield and Rena Messana of Buffalo, NY; six grandchildren, Laura Rose Simmons, Douglas James Parisotto, Matthew David Williams, Mary Beth Parisotto, Tyler William Ealey and Madison Alexandra Ealey; and one great grandchild, Mason Patrick Simmons. At Rudy's request, all ceremonies will be private.
