Ruth Evelyn Roberts

She was born on March 14, 1932 in Bell City, MO., the daughter of Reverend Alvin J. and Mabel (Arnold) Farmer. She married John William Roberts on May 21, 1949 in Springfield and he preceded her in death on August 25, 1995.

Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, husband, step-mom Sylvia Whittaker and a grandson Edward Causino III.

She was a homemaker and loved to spend time with her family and friends. She was a member of The Sounds of Life Foursquare Gospel Church in Springfield.

Ruth is survived by a son James W. Roberts of Cantrall, a daughter Mikki Causino of Peoria, ten grandchildren, and twelve great-grand children, a brother Alvin (wife Donna) Farmer of Missouri, half-sister Roma Struttman of Missouri and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday, April 8, 2011 at Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 E. Allen Springfield, IL from 6:00pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 11:00 am with Reverend Paul Griffith officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Springfield.
