

Ryan Lanxon, 22, of Springfield, died at 11:23 a.m. on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at St. Luke's Baptist Hospital in San Antonio, TX. Ryan was born November 14, 1994 in Peoria, the son of Phillip E. Lanxon and Paige E. Millen Hill. Ryan graduated class of 2013 from Southeast High School, where he served as baseball team manager and appointed himself the unofficial manager of the cheerleaders. He also attended Capital Area Career Center to study auto mechanics and then went on to take courses in Automotive Technology at Lincoln Land Community College. He was employed with SPARC and loved helping others and making friends with everyone. Ryan enjoyed cooking, yard work, helping with chores and errands, sports of all types, especially the St. Louis Cardinals, and helping anyone he could. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Donald Lanxon; step-grandfather, Earl Hill; and step-grandmothers, Eloise Hill and Lois Kerr-Hill. He is survived by his mother, Paige (husband, Dana) Hill of Springfield; father, Philip (significant other, Linda Cloyd) Lanxon of Peoria; grandparents, Donald and Leona Millen of San Antonio, TX and Shirley Lanxon of Morton; sister, Emma Hill; Linda's son, Dakota Cloyd; three aunts, Linda Kerby of Morton, and Delores Harmony and Judy Crespi, both of Springfield; uncle, Matthew "Max" Millen of San Antonio, TX; and numerous cousins including, Emily Millen, Jessica Kerby, Allison Kerby, Michael Crespi, Sarah Crespi, Mike Harmony, Brian Harmony, Susan Harmony, and Lisa Rotman; and his beloved Golden Retriever, Molly. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Funeral Ceremony: 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home with Gary England officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
