Samantha "Sam" Burke-Adams

Samantha "Sam" Burke-Adams, 44, of Riverton, passed away at 9:25 p.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center. Sam was born April 21, 1972 in Springfield. Sam married Richard Adams on January 31, 2001 in Moline, Illinois. Sam was a graduate of Lanphier High School. She was a member of several dart leagues, and enjoyed watching dirt track racing, fishing, and playing bingo. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, and an aunt and uncle. Sam is survived by her husband, Rick Adams of Riverton; son, Tyler Jones of Livonia, MI; daughter, Taylor Jones of Springfield; mother, Beverly Rice of Rochester; brother, Justin (Lori) Rice of Rochester; sister, Sunday Grigsby of Springfield; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Cremation will be accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies. Memorial Gathering: Family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th Street, Springfield. Memorial Ceremony: 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 29, 2016 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, with Celebrant Judy Woerner officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
