Sandra Rose Johnson Davis

Sandra was born on January 12, 1961, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Theodore and Emma Lee Donaldson Williams.

Sandra earned a bachelor's degree from Chicago State University in Psychology. She worked for DCFS for 21 years. Sandra was a member of Abundant Faith Christian Center and the Ladies of Essence social club. In her spare time, Sandra enjoyed reading poetry, having plants, and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Barbara McGee; and one brother, Michael Johnson.

She is survived by four children, Michael Davis, Jr. of Springfield, Danielle (husband, Jeremy) Taylor of Springfield, Marscia (husband, Antonis) Anderson of Springfield, and Grayson Davis of Springfield; two grandchildren, Gabrielle and Sydney Taylor; six siblings, Rita Lewis of Springfield, Marscia Kransdorf of Springfield; Emily Kenny of NC, Steven Johnson of Harvey, IL, Gary (wife, Dienessa) Johnson of Evanston, IL, and Karen (husband, Anthony) Toney of Richton Park, IL; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 25, 2022, at Boardman-Smith Funeral Home, 800 S. Grand Ave., West, Springfield.

Celebration of Life: 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at Abundant Faith Christian Center, 2525 Taylor Avenue, Springfield with Rev. Joseph Johnson officiating.

Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
