Sean P. Kennedy

Sean P. Kennedy, 56, of Divernon, passed away at 9:58 a.m. on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at his residence. Sean was born on May 13, 1962 in Bethesda, MD, the son of Kenneth Patrick and Helen Jean Sickles Kennedy. He married Rose Mary Kirk on October 15, 1988; she preceded him in death on May 19, 2013. Sean attended John Wood Community College in Quincy. He was employed as a technician with CSC for 15 years. Sean enjoyed riding his motorcycle, going to races in St. Louis, watching Notre Dame football, working in his yard and spending time with his family. He was also preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his son, Kyle (wife, Katie) Kennedy of Lincoln; daughter, Kelsea (husband, Andrew) Duncan of Chatham; mother, Helen Jean Kennedy of Pana; two grandchildren, Arabella Rose Kennedy and Bristol Rose Duncan; fiance, Mary Lee Searcy of Divernon; step-son, Matt (wife, Jessica) Searcy of Divernon; step-grandchildren, Abi Jocis and Macie Searcy; step-mother, Anna Kennedy of Decatur; and three step-siblings, Eddie and Larry Stocker of Springfield and Joella Morthland of Decatur. Visitation and Funeral Mass: Family will receive friends from 9:00 until 10:15 a.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Church of the Little Flower, 800 Adlai Stevenson Dr., Springfield. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. with Rev Allen Kemme, celebrant. Cremation will be provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center following ceremonies. The family of Sean P.
